Children's Wish Foundation of Canada

The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada is the authority on wish granting in our country. With two decades of wish granting, and over 12,000 wishes behind us, we have fulfilled more wishes for children in Canada than any other wish granting agency.

What began in 1983, on the kitchen table of an inspired and committed volunteer, named Laura Cole, has blossomed into a national organization with chapters in every province. From humble beginnings granting fewer than 20 wishes a year The Foundation has established the capacity to fulfill upwards of 800 wishes annually.
The Children’s Wish Foundation of Canada is extremely proud of the fact that we have never denied an eligible child a wish and that we have been able to fulfill some of the most complex wishes imaginable.

Granting wishes to children with high-risk life-threatening illnesses is our primary line of business and the most powerful way in which The Children’s Wish Foundation fulfils its mandate. Staff and volunteers work tirelessly to maintain the highest quality of service to our wish families with attention to the most minute details so as to ensure the total satisfaction of each and every wish child.

We owe our success to the hundreds of thousands of Canadians who have contributed their time, talents and money over the years to help us make wishes come true.

Canadian Cancer Society BC Division - Camp Goodtimes

Our camps and programs are for kids, teenagers, and families living with cancer. Our goal is to create a safe and fun environment where friendships and lifelong memories can be made. Each of our programs is uniquely designed, but all of them take place in the comfortable and relaxed setting of Loon Lake in Maple Ridge.

The Canadian Cancer Society's Camp Goodtimes Kids’ Camps are for children aged 6-15 with a history of cancer, as well as some spaces set aside for siblings.

It’s a place to make new friends, go swimming, play games and spend time in the great outdoors. Themes, costumes, arts & crafts, and other summer camp activities are offered in addition to special events such as a carnival and big dance at the end of the week!

Kelowna General Hospital Foundation

100 years ago on April 2, 1908 Kelowna General Hospital opened its doors to care for the people of our city. That fine hospital could accommodate 19 patients and it was the pride of Kelowna. The land upon which it was built had been donated by the Kelowna Land & Orchard Company, an act of generosity and vision benefiting our community at large. Today, our hospital stands as the primary care-provider between the lower mainland and Calgary.
